Kim Kupperman is the author of a critically acclaimed collection of essays, I Just Lately Started Buying Wings (Graywolf, 2010), which received the 2009 Katharine Bakeless Nason Prize in Nonfiction from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. Her work has appeared in Best American Essays and many literary journals. She is the founder of Welcome Table Press and works as a managing editor of the Gettysburg Review.
Darin Strauss, international bestselling author of the New York Times Notable books CHANG AND ENG and THE REAL MCCOY, and the national bestseller MORE THAN IT HURTS YOU , out in paperback June 30, 2009. His most recent book, entitled HALF A LIFE, was published this year by McSweeney’s. Also a screenwriter, he is adapting CHANG AND ENG with Gary Oldman, for Disney. The recipient of a 2006 Guggenheim Fellowship in fiction writing, he is a Clinical Associate Professor at NYU’s creative writing program.
